Maine Letterboxing

Below are the stamps that we found on our trip to Bar Harbor, Freeport and Mt. Desert Island. Our favorites are the ones that are hand carved. The craftsmanship and time that go into those stamps make the hikes even more rewarding. Each find is recorded with a date, place and the number of stamps found (F), placed or hidden (P) and the number of hitchikers that we found or placed (H). Hitchikers are extra stamps that are placed in boxes and when found are to be carried to the next box one finds and placed inside for someone else to find and move.
