Danek's 10th Birthday at Camp Mack

Danek's first camping experience with scouts occurred this summer at Camp Mack. It is the first time Danek planned to be away from home for a week. I joined him at camp for just a few nights.

Our first night and we got a downpour. More than 2 inches of rain and everything and everybody got wet. Some of the kids laid in the red muddy dirt road which resembled a high creek filled with red clay soil. All the adults could do was wait it out under the tarps that periodically needed to be poked due to the amount of water that settled on the low spots.
