Bubble Rock and Tide Pools in Acadia

Our first ranger program was on a rainy morning on Bubble Mountain. The program was based on the geology of the area and included a close up look of the soil and rocks. Rain was not going to deter us from all the fun.

The ranger said this was the only time in several years that she summited Bubble with a group and not find a bunch of other people already at the top. While the weather deterred the others, we were fine with the mist and rain. Here Danek smiles at the summit.

Danek tried to push Bubble Rock over the edge, but it didn't budge. We thought we better take a picture with it before it goes over the edge.
Believe it or not, this is the same day, just hours later at Otter Point. Our favorite place to investigate the tide pools.
