First Show of the 2006 Season

Evelyn and Chimmy had their first show for the 2006 season this past weekend at Heritage in Dillsburg. The horse show season began December 1st and points are accumulated throughout the following year. Evelyn and Chimmy participated in the Short Stirrup Division. Evelyn had wonderful rides on Chimmy and together they won 3 second places (walk-trot, walk-trot-canter with 2 jumps and a class that required 8 jumps) and they also won third in the walk-trot-canter class. Points are earned in each class and with these points they won Reserve Champion for the Short Stirrup Division! They had a good pace and looked great. They did especially well in the flat classes and even stayed straight over the flower boxes at the jumps. Evelyn got a little loose on the last jump of the day when Chimmy took a large leap over the fence. It is exciting to see Evelyn progress in her riding with such a sweet pony. We look forward to more excitement watching this team during this show season. We are very proud of their hard work and determination.
